July 7, 2010: PowellDorian is awarded with a rating grade of "A-" from the Better Business Bureau (BBB), ranking the company high in the top ten percentile. This rating grade system is based on a point system with a maximum of 90 points to be allocated by a BBB rating expert to companies which conform to the 17 business elements. An "A-" grade is granted to companies earning between 90% to 93.99% based on examining all business elements, including complaint data, advertising review, understanding of business, and more.

July 6, 2010: Lisa Dorian, who sits on Financial Executives International Canada’s board of directors, has been appointed for a second term as Chair, Chapter Leadership Council.
June 29, 2010: Pamela Egger, Director, General Counsel Services and Susan Clayton, Director, Financial Reporting Services, were selected as mentors in Round 3 of the New Ventures BC Competition 2010. Pamela and Susan are working with their assigned company to assist in the creation of a condensed business plan that will successfully move the company into the final round of competition.

New Ventures BC gives early-stage BC innovators and entrepreneurs access to technology leaders, business education and an annual $300,000 funding competition. Each year, more than 100 B.C. business leaders—entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, angel investors, academics and professionals—donate their time and expertise as mentors and judges. PowellDorian is proud to support New Ventures BC and donate time to support new business in British Columbia.
June 1, 2010: Warren Newton, has been re-appointed to the board of the Vancouver Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors, as Programs Chair after spending the last two years on the board as the Co-Treasurer.
